While we're not short on extreme weather events these days, but except for Buffalo, the blizzard seems to have exited stage left.

50 years ago we were no strangers to massive snowstorms, and in the late '70s historic blizzards swept over the nation seemingly every year. Since when does Florida get snow?

We just don't do cold weather like we used to. So to remind you, here are 20 photos of what winter looked like in the 1970s.
